Carers

There are currently around six million people in the UK providing care for a relative, friend or neighbour on an unpaid basis and this number will increase because of our ageing population. Caring for others can be extremely stressful and it is increasingly recognised that carers are themselves in need of support. Their right to support has now been established in law.
