Dementia e-learning: living with dementia

One of a series of e-learning resources from the Open Dementia e-learning programme which provides a general introduction to the dementia and the experience of living with dementia. This module aims to increase understanding of  the person with dementia as a unique individual and the importance of knowing their background and life history. It also covers the need to be aware of the abilities people with a dementia retain, how dementia impacts on families, friends and community and the support that is needed.

The social care needs of refugees and asylum seekers

This discussion paper attempts to describe the specific experiences of refugees and asylum seekers with social care needs. It also makes recommendations for services to meet refugees and asylum seekers' needs more effectively. The paper also highlights the difference between refugees and asylum seekers.
