11 January 2011

Andrea Sutcliffe has been appointed as the new Chief Executive of the Social Care Institute for Excellence.

Andrea, who is currently the Chief Executive of the Appointments Commission, will join SCIE in April 2012.

We are delighted with the appointment, says Allan Bowman, SCIE chair. Her energy, intelligence and experience will be vital to us as we enter a new stage of SCIE’s development.

Andrea says:

It is an honour to have been appointed as the new Chief Executive for the Social Care Institute for Excellence.  I am excited by the opportunity to make a difference and improve the lives of people who use care services.

SCIE’s current Chief Executive, Julie Jones, is retiring following nearly five years at SCIE .
