Completing the consultation
The consultation questions are grouped in 8 sections. The first 5 are the main sections and they each cover a stage of the care pathway. Sections 6 and 7 relate to the strategic approach and development of the workforce required to achieve the changes recommended in the first five sections. The final section of this consultation gives you an opportunity to comment on the overall guidance.
- Screening
- Assessment
- Planning care
- Providing care
- Reviewing care plans
- Strategic approach
- Workforce development
- Overall guidance
Each section in the guidance starts with a key, or ’summary’ recommendation. Essentially this represents the overarching objective that the detailed recommendations in that section have been designed to achieve.
Throughout the consultation you are asked to say whether you agree that the summary recommendation for each section will help improve outcomes for parents with mental health problems and their children. If you think they will, you are invited to give your views about the more detailed recommendations in that section. If you do not think the overall recommendation will help improve outcomes, you will be directed straight to the next section.
