Identifying project partners
- Decide which organisations or teams will be involved in the project. Sharing information and ideas is a crucial aspect of the collaborative methodology, so it is important to identify two or more organisations/teams who are interested in improving a similar aspect of their service.
Identifying project aims
- Project aims should be developed locally, based on areas for improvement identified by practitioners and people using, or likely to use, services and their carers.
The following aims should be included:
- Use available knowledge to develop services.
- Help staff to improve their skills in practice-based research and evaluation.
- Give practitioners the opportunity to focus thinking on the specific barriers that they face and on the development of solutions.
- Identify good practice to inform future work.
