End-of-life care

Good end-of-life care is not complicated – it is really just good person-centred care. Good communication between professionals and family is particularly important. However, although knowledge about end-of-life care has increased greatly over the past 10 years, particularly in areas such as cancer care, many people still do not receive good quality care.
