Age
The principles of age equality are not always evident in social work and care practice, nor in the way priorities are set, decisions made, services structured and delivered, and resources allocated in adult social care. The Equality Act brings existing anti-discrimination legislation into a single statute, and also seeks to outlaw discrimination on grounds of age in the provision of goods and services, including social care and NHS services.
