Substance misuse and dual diagnosis

The prevalence of co-existing mental health and substance use problems is termed ‘dual diagnosis' and may affect between 30 and 70 per cent of those presenting to health and social care settings. SCIE guidance focuses on how inter-professional training and working can support better outcomes for the whole family.
