Adult Safeguarding

Statutory and other organisations which deal directly with those at risk in their line of work have a strong duty of care to ensure that they are adequately protected.

For this to be achieved, a common set of multi-agency policies and procedures needs to be in place that explain simply and clearly how the statutory agencies and individuals work together to protect adults at risk.

SCIE provides a training and consultancy service to help statutory, voluntary and private organisations involved in the provision of care and health services develop and implement good practice in safeguarding adults.

SCIE Training can deliver multi-agency training courses for all levels in local authorities, police, NHS and provider organisations to promote awareness and aid implementation of agreed policies and procedures. Our materials for these courses are based on a national competence framework for safeguarding adults, adapted to meet the needs of agencies in your area.

SCIE Consultancy can advise on, facilitate or deliver a set of policies and procedures to ensure consistency of approach across a defined region. We can also review policy and practice at your organisation and make recommendations for improvement where necessary.

All our trainers and consultants are experts in their field.

Whatever your requirements, contact us on TrainingandConsultancy@scie.org.uk or 020 7024 7650 for an informal discussion about how we might help, and indicative costs.
