Lead our transformation to an agile social enterprise which impacts positively on people’s lives
The Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) is a leading values-driven improvement agency. Based in Central London we employ 45 staff and operate with a turnover of c£6m. In recent years we have evolved from a largely government funded body to a more commercially-orientated social purpose business and thought leader.
Our influence is far greater than our size. Our service offer covers policy and practice, including government commissions as well as a range of consultancy, training, evaluation and research projects. We have expanded our client base across social care and health, children’s and adult sectors – and we aim to increase this reach even further. Looking forward with confidence, we are using reserves to help reshape and refocus our business, equipping us for future challenges and opportunities.
Our current Chief Executive, Tony Hunter, is stepping down over the next few months. We seek a new Chief Executive to work closely with the Chair, the Rt Hon. Paul Burstow, and the Board to lead SCIE through the next exciting phase of our transformation. We are open as to your background, but you will bring a track record of successful organisational and systems leadership and exceptional business acumen and programme delivery combined with an interest in shaping national policy and practice improvement across the social care landscape.
