Research shows that there are risks associated with transfer of Covid-19 through build-up of aerosol droplets during group singing activity in indoor spaces. However, we know that singing plays an important role in care settings, so this document sets out some tools to help people make informed choices and decisions about whether and how to sing. This brief document combines points to consider when deciding whether and how to lead singing and music activities; to inform planning and risk assessing in advance. It is based on Government Covid guidance documents, research and safe practice considerations and resources that can help keep singing and music going. (Edited publisher abstract)
