Classroom, tailored and e-learning training courses
As part of the Care Act 2014, local authority staff are required to assess older people who are deafblind. Learn about Dual Sensory Impairment, its impact on the individual and more.
These courses are being delivered in partnership with Hi-Vis UK (Hearing Impairment & Visual Impairment Support UK), the national charity working to increase awareness and skills in DSI across the health and social care workforce in the public, independent and voluntary sectors.
These courses are ideal for social care staff and care professionals working in local authorities, provider organisations and voluntary organisations.
We can develop, deliver and evaluate a training and learning programme based on your organisation’s needs. Our specialist deafblind assessor training course is CPD accredited. Hi-Vis UK courses are OCN accredited and CPDSO registered. There is opportunity for progression up to Level 5. Please contact SCIE for further information.
