SCIE national conference - July 2005
The SCIE national conference took place in Birmingham on 1July 2005. Over 250 delegates attended, including first-line practitioners, team managers, service users, directors, policy makers and practice assessors.
The theme of the conference was based around SCIE's commitment to evidence-based practice. Speakers included Tony Hunter - President of the Association of Social Services, and Sue Bott - Chief Officer at Shropshire Disability Consortium. There was also a question-and-answer session, hosted by Polly Neate - Editor of Community Care.
There were nine workshops for delegates to join, based around SCIE's work themes and recent projects. The notes and the accompanying Presentations of the meetings are available here.
