Wolverhampton’s workforce and integrating research

Social care showcase webinar number three

This is the third of our ‘Showcase Webinars’ focuses on Wolverhampton, where they are integrating research into the workforce. Social work PhDs have been funded, in-house research has been made possible and learning around use of research has been encouraged.

SCIE are showcasing local authorities who are taking great strides towards readiness for the charging reforms and social care reform. These webinars are an opportunity for the sector to recognise the improvements that are taking place nationally and will spark continued sector innovation.

Please join us for this showcase webinar recording to learn from Wolverhampton’s experiences and think about how the social work workforce can integrate research into their work.

Your panel:

  • Elaine Arnull. Professor of Social Work, Professor of Social Work, Associate Dean and Director of School of Society and Community, University of Wolverhampton
  • Jennifer Rogers, Principal Social Worker, City of Wolverhampton Council

The University of Wolverhampton’s School of Society and Community provides a space and a place for those committed to lifelong learning, reflection and development. Alongside research, their Knowledge Exchange programme offers exciting and diverse opportunities for professionals within the public and social services, members of the community, those with lived experience and students to engage with current research, policy and practice debates.
