The Department of Health and Social Care has been holding a series of webinars with Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, assessors, commissioners and managers in adult social care to explore some of the key themes around the digitising and streamlining of care needs assessments. These webinars are being co-delivered by DHSC, SCIE and Partners in Care and Health.

This instalment in the series explores the principles of developing and implementing digital tools focussing on care cost calculators, which allow people to estimate how much they will pay for their care, before they undergo a financial assessment. Kent County Council, Dorset Council and Redbridge Council will be reflecting on their experience of sharing, building and implementing these tools and their achieved and expected outcomes.
