‘Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained’ is a comprehensive guide to managing risk in dementia, with a particular emphasis on achieving a shared approach to positive risk-taking based on identifying and balancing the positive effects of taking risks against the likelihood of an adverse event occurring.
The guidance is intended for anyone involved in supporting people with dementia, and has been developed by the Social Care Workforce Resource Unit at King’s College London on behalf of the Department of Health.
