Recorded Spring 2023
Across the East Midlands, local authorities are seeking to transform care and support by developing and embedding strengths-based practice. This is seen as a good way to improve outcomes and experiences for people, and over time, reduce demand for more intensive forms of formal support.
East Midland’s ADASS, in partnership with SCIE, have developed an online learning resource on strengths-based practice for supporting function roles within Adult Social Care. This webinar looks at adult social care ‘enabling roles’.
It’s about giving practitioners people a good understanding of what strengths-based practice is, how to support strengths-based practice – and about outcomes through different roles within social care. Adult social care systems Social work has the greatest impact when all the supporting functions – for example commissioning, finance, performance – are also working to achieve the same outcomes.
