SCIE partners with organisations to anticipate and manage safeguarding risks, with expert-led insights, tailored training and co-produced solutions built around your people and pressures.
As SCIE is not-for-profit, our safeguarding consultancy and training services offer exceptional value for money, and our income goes towards improving social care, reinvesting funds into further research and advocacy work.
About our team
Our safeguarding team brings a rich breadth and depth of experience, drawing on a combined 150 years of experience spanning safeguarding statutory and third sectors, as well as strategic and operational levels.
We have successfully delivered several hundred projects over the last three years, supporting organisations from Government departments through councils and health providers to small local care and support providers, across every sector from local authorities to small voluntary organisations and every area of the UK on their safeguarding journey. Our work may be as simple as a short policy review or training to support practice, through to an organisational audit of large federated national organisations or undertaking an investigation of historic allegation.
(SCIE’s Head of Safeguarding) is nothing less than an absolute treasure who takes evident pleasure in sharing his immense wealth of knowledge, wisdom, practicality and pragmatism with others — his quiet, well-informed and authoritative voice has been one of the most impressive and influential that I have had the pleasure of hearing.
What I am most grateful for — and what will inform my own practice henceforth — is how well Vijay embodies and shares that basic truth that in our work and our life, it is the quality of our human relationships that ultimately defines ‘success’.
