Like many local councils, the London Borough of Bromley is facing rising demand for social care support that exceeds available budgets and resources. Building on earlier collaboration with SCIE, the council therefore commissioned a change programme, in which both Bromley and SCIE recognised the need to improve the efficiency of service delivery while enhancing the experience of those receiving care.
Our current consultancy work with London Borough of Bromley is expected to deliver around £2 million savings this year, helping to keep Adult Social Care budgets sustainable in the face of ever increasing demand and cost pressures. To meet these ambitious targets, Bromley commissioned SCIE to help deliver digital transformation and strategic support to develop and embed a co-production strategy, crucially enhancing the experience of those receiving care while improving the efficiency of service delivery. Benefits so far include reducing care costs by nearly 30%, well above a forecast 10-15%, and reducing administrative time by around 20%.
