Development of learning materials for Integrated Care Systems and STPs

26 November 2019

The NHS Confederation – the independent voice of NHS system leadership – has commissioned SCIE to capture the learning to date from Integrated Care Systems and Sustainability Partnerships (STPs). The project will explore key topics, including payment mechanisms, financial arrangements and place-based integration, to help ICS and STP leaders respond to the challenges and succeed in their role.

Working with the NHS Confederation’s regional team which has been set up to support peer learning and spread good practice amongst ICSs and STPs, SCIE will design and deliver a suite of tools and resources which provide useful and practical advice on how to navigate and adjust to the changing health and care landscape.

Rt Hon Paul Burstow, Chair of SCIE, says:

As an Independent Chair of an STP, I know how challenging it is for institutional leaders to transition into the new ways of working as system leaders to take forward the ambitions set out in the NHS Long Term Plan. I am delighted that SCIE, with its expertise in person centred integration, will be supporting the NHS Confederation with learning and resources for local systems leaders.
