Partnership projects with the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC)

The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) contracts SCIE to develop and share products and services that improve practice and support the implementation of its policy. In a fast-moving and complex policy development and delivery environment, SCIE is ideally positioned to support the DHSC’s ambitions around improved quality of life for people in need of care and support.

Local systems reviews – lessons learned

DHSC commissioned the Care Quality Commission to carry out local system reviews of how health and care services work together to meet the needs of local people. DHSC commissioned SCIE to provide independent support to help local systems develop plans to address CQC’s findings and recommendations.

Innovation Network

DHSC funded SCIE, TLAP and Shared Lives Plus to develop an Innovation Network of providers, commissioners and interested citizens to help local areas take innovative approaches to social care, testing new ideas and sharing learning and support with others.

Logic model for integrated care

The DHSC funded SCIE to develop the logic model for integrated care

Integrated care research and practice

Following the development of the logic model for integrated care, we then expanded this to produce the Integrated care research and practice resource.
