Reablement improves outcomes, restores people's ability to perform usual activities and improves their perceived quality of life. On evidence to date, there is a high probability that reablement is cost-effective.

Based on evidence from research and practice, this guide provides recommendations for maximising the potential of reablement in improving people’s outcomes and delivering a cost-effective service across health and social care.

NICE accreditation

NICE accreditedNICE has accredited the process used by SCIE to produce guidelines. Accreditation is valid for 5 years from July 2011 and is applicable to guidance produced using the processes described in the SCIE Guide Production Toolkit.
