Webinar recording: Safeguarding for trustees of faith-based organisations

The Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE), as part of the Safeguarding Training Fund in collaboration with the Department of Culture, Media and Sport and the National Lottery Community Fund, ran this online webinar on the safeguarding responsibilities for trustees in faith-based organisations.

We know that safeguarding within faith-based charities and organisations can be complex. Good governance is therefore central to the safe culture and practice that are essential for the welfare and safety of those who come into contact with, and benefit from, the organisation’s work.

This 90-minutes training opportunity will equip you with an understanding of the importance of safeguarding, trustee responsibilities in the governance of safeguarding and offer the chance to reflect on the effectiveness of your current systems and structures. You can also see and hear the question and answer session.

This webinar was delivered by Simon Bayliss (Senior Practice Development Manager, SCIE).
