This webinar provides an overview of new guidance on safeguarding for trustees and management committee members of User-led Organisations (ULOs). It provides practical examples using case studies from ULOs which can be applied in other ULOs.
As a trustee, you have a duty of care to your staff, people who use your service and volunteers and need to be assured that good safeguarding practice is in place in your organisation.
The webinar will showcase the guidance and covers:
- The role of all trustees regarding safeguarding.
- The law on safeguarding.
- Developing your safeguarding strategy, policies, and procedures including reporting safeguarding concerns and managing allegations made against trustees, staff, and volunteers.
- The role of your safeguarding lead.
- Developing an open, honest culture and partnership working with other organisations and agencies.
