Webinar recording: Innovation Network (April 2019)
This webinar, recorded on 26 April 2019, looked at the work of the new Social Care Innovation Network.
There are some really good examples of innovative models of social care and support for adults across the country. However, the challenge is to scale up these primarily small-scale, community-focused successes so that as many people benefit from them as possible.
SCIE, TLAP and Shared Lives Plus are funded by the Department of Health and Social Care to develop a network which will help the spread of innovative approaches which are known to work. The Innovation Network brings together a combination of innovative providers, commissioners and interested citizens, to identify ways to support each other to grow innovations at scale.
This webinar provided an opportunity to hear how the network is developing and some early thinking on creating the conditions necessary for the wider adoption of more person-centred community-based approaches.
- Ewan King, SCIE Chief Operating Officer
- Anna Severwright, Coalition for Collaborative Care
- Alex Fox, CEO of Shared Lives Plus.
The network can support local authority commissioners, local partners, care providers and others to test new ideas and share learning and support with others.
