Principles of excellence: Community connectedness
These examples highlight how creating a sense of community within housing developments is as important as locating these developments close to communities. Building community connectedness is also about creating partnerships with local communities such as local schools, social groups and faith groups so that residents have regular involvement and interactions with members of the wider community and feel they are active citizens.
